Antique German Christmas Postcard – Two Girls Reading | PFB Series 9103, c. 1910

A beautiful original Christmas postcard from the Golden Age of postcards, dating to approximately 1907–1915.
Published by Paul Finkenrath of Berlin and printed in Germany, this richly illustrated card features two young girls sharing a book beneath a festive border of embossed holly leaves and bright red berries. Green-and-cream stripes, warm gold-toned accents, and graceful Art Nouveau-style framing complete the design.
The front bears the elegant holiday greeting:
“A Merry Christmas.”
The reverse retains the original PFB publisher’s mark, Series 9103, an embossed decorative border, and handwritten names. It is addressed to Charlie Dickie and signed “Dorothy & Marion,” but does not appear to have been postally mailed.

Condition:
Very good antique condition with strong color and beautifully preserved embossed details. The reverse has handwritten names, age-related discoloration, surface marks, and light wear. Minor edge and corner wear is consistent with a paper item more than a century old. Please review all photographs carefully.
A wonderful addition to a collection of antique Christmas ephemera, German postcards, childhood imagery, or early illustrated paper goods. It would also be lovely displayed in a small frame as part of a traditional holiday vignette.
