Antique French “Joyeux Noël” Postcard – Woman in Pink with Flowers | Circa 1910
A beautiful authentic French Christmas postcard dating to approximately 1905–1915. This romantic hand-tinted image features an elegantly dressed woman wearing a pink winter coat, dramatic feathered hat and textured fur stole while carrying a festive bouquet through a snowy countryside.
“Joyeux Noël,” meaning “Merry Christmas,” appears in graceful script along the bottom. The picture side retains its original green French 5-centime Sower postage stamp with cancellation marks—an unusual and visually striking part of the postcard’s postal history.
The reverse contains an original handwritten message in purple ink that appears to read:
“Mes meilleurs souvenirs
Julien R.”
It is addressed to Mademoiselle Léocadie Robert in Florentin, via Marssac, Tarn, France.
