This vintage Bonny-sur-Loire low jar was sourced in France as part of a remarkable collection of French stoneware recovered from an abandoned warehouse. With its broad rounded body, generously rolled rim and wonderfully warm caramel-toned exterior, this is the kind of understated utilitarian pottery that brings authentic French character into a home.
Produced in Bonny-sur-Loire, France, the vessel is crafted from heavy stoneware and features a warm brown/caramel exterior contrasted beautifully by its pale cream glazed interior. The underside retains its impressed MADE IN FRANCE mark.
Its low, bulbous silhouette is especially appealing. At approximately 6 pounds, this isn’t a lightweight decorative reproduction—it is a wonderfully substantial piece of vintage French pottery.
