I just wrapped up an unforgettable weekend at the Chartreuse & Co 2025 Spring Market, and I couldn’t wait to share the experience. It was my first time vending at this event, and I have to say—it was truly something special.
Set on stunning, historic grounds, the three-day market was beautifully managed from start to finish. Friday brought perfect spring weather and an incredible crowd of excited shoppers. I was thrilled to see so many people drawn to my glass and pottery pieces—sales were strong, and the energy was amazing.
But this weekend wasn’t just about the beautiful setting or the sales—it was also a deeply personal journey. Just before the market, I suffered a hemorrhage in my retina, which left my vision badly impaired. I wasn’t even sure I could physically get through the weekend. But thanks to the love and support of my incredible team, I made it.
My daughter Brittany, my best friend Jill, and my fiancé Rick were by my side the entire time. Jill especially became my second set of eyes—truly my “other eyeball”—guiding me, watching for details I couldn’t see, and helping with every moment. I don’t know what I would have done without her. Rick came on Sunday to help us break down the site after a long and intense few days, and Brittany was with me every step of the way. I’m beyond grateful for them.
Saturday threw us all a challenge with a strong storm—heavy wind and rain swept through, but shoppers still came, undeterred and full of good spirits. That night, the storms intensified, and when we arrived Sunday morning, we were met with scenes of real damage around the vendor areas. Somehow, we were incredibly fortunate: our space was untouched.
Sunday stayed windy, but the community spirit was stronger than ever. Vendors supported one another, and the customers showed up again in full force. The market was alive with families, children, dogs, and happy faces. The atmosphere was festive, with food trucks, wine tasting, cocktails, coffee, and treats that made it feel like a celebration rather than just a shopping event.
The Chartreuse & Co team went above and beyond—they truly care about their vendors and their visitors. Their passion showed in every detail, even under pressure.
I’ll admit, I was nervous going into this market. Chartreuse is such a beautiful, established place, and I’ve long dreamed of being part of something like it—or maybe even having my own space someday. As I walked through the main barn, I felt so inspired. I was actually tickled to pieces seeing that many of the pieces I brought to sell were right in line with the beautiful styles displayed inside. It was validating, energizing, and emotional.
Looking ahead, I’m already preparing for the Fall Market on September 19-21. This time, I’ve signed up for a larger space, and I can’t wait to fill it with even more treasures—furniture, vintage finds, and one-of-a-kind pieces that bring charm and character to any home.
Until then, thank you to everyone who stopped by, and thank you especially to Brittany, Jill, and Rick for being my eyes, hands, and heart through a weekend I’ll never forget.
